General Accountant (SAP Experience Required)

Location: Fairfield, CA
Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Industry: Manufacturing / Distribution
Pay: $37 - $40 About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive General Accountant to support one of our top clients, a global manufacturing company with operations in the U.S. and Latin America. This role is critical to managing core accounting functions and will work closely with both the U.S. and Brazil finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, proficient in SAP, and comfortable overseeing both AP and AR, as well as participating in month-end close activities. Top 3 Priorities:

1. Strong SAP knowledge – including use of T-Codes, Cockpit, and pulling ad hoc reports
2. Ability to manage and oversee both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
3. Month-end close experience, including journal entries and account reconciliations

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:

• Review and process vendor invoices aligned with POs and bookings
• Perform check runs and manage payment processes
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Manage employee reimbursements (via Notilus software)

Accounts Receivable:

• Maintain customer account records
• Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
• Coordinate deposits and manage remittances
• Provide regular updates on cash receipts and discrepancies

General Ledger / Month-End Close:

• Post journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Monitor key accounts including depreciation, prepaids, and accruals
• Support balance sheet accuracy through consistent tracking
• Provide reports and analyses as part of the closing process

Additional Duties:

• Coordinate with teams in Brazil and the U.S. on cross-regional financial updates
• Use SAP and Excel to generate, analyze, and share financial data
• Engage in proactive problem-solving and communication on open projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience (including AP, AR, GL)
• Strong SAP experience required
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting)
• Experience with depreciation, remittances, and PO-based invoicing
• Prior exposure to international or multi-location environments is a plus
