Position Summary The purpose of this position is to teach a variety of Radio/Television classes during a variety of times. Position Information Position Type: Faculty Employment – Adjunct. Department: Communications, Languages and Reading. Employment Status: Adjunct. Salary: Adjunct Stipend. Open Until Filled. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Radio/Television. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods. Able to demonstrate various presentation styles used in television (i.e., interviews, newscasts, and related on-camera skills). Able to demonstrate audio production skills (i.e., creation of commercials, PSAs, newscasts, editing news interviews). Able to demonstrate the use of a variety of equipment (studio cameras, a switcher, a field camera). Able to use related software (i.e., Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro) to demonstrate the editing of a variety of projects (PSAs, news packages, short video narrative). Available to supervise labs outside of the regular classroom time. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching at the secondary or college level. Experience with an online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
