As a Armed Security Officer - Government Site - Part Time in Punta Gorda, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability that define Allied Universal. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Interact professionally with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed patrol posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess equivalent experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
