Job Description
Are you the type of person who never meets a stranger and loves connecting people? As our Business Development & Brand Ambassador, you will use your outgoing energy to act as the bridge between our brand and the community. In this remote role, you’ll network tirelessly to foster meaningful partnerships, creating buzz at events and opening doors to new opportunities for our business. And don’t worry – you won’t be selling insurance policies or needing any license. Instead, you’ll focus on what you do best: building relationships and generating warm leads for our team of licensed agents to follow up on.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent the Brand: Attend and represent the company at local networking mixers, business offices, and other events. You’ll expand our brand presence and leverage these events to enhance visibility and customer acquisition. Regular attendance in the community helps keep our company top of mind for potential partners and clients.
Build Partnerships: Forge and maintain relationships with key referral partners – think real estate agents, mortgage brokers, auto dealerships, community organizations, and more. By developing a network of professionals who serve similar clientele, you’ll create a steady pipeline of quality referrals for our insurance services

Generate Leads: Be a networking guru! Initiate conversations with potential clients and referral sources, introduce our company’s services, and identify opportunities to connect interested prospects with our sales team. Your personable approach can turn casual introductions into warm leads and lasting business relationships.
Community Engagement: Act as the face of the company in the community. This might include giving a quick presentation at a local chamber event, staffing a booth at a community fair, or simply chatting with attendees at a business networking social. Every interaction is a chance to leave a memorable impression of our brand.
Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with our sales and marketing teams. You’ll share the intel from the field – what you’re hearing from customers and partners – to help shape our marketing campaigns and referral programs. Together, we’ll ensure that leads you generate are followed up on promptly and effectively.
Track and Celebrate Success: Keep a simple log of your networking activities and leads (we’ll train you on our CRM, it’s easy!). You’ll help us track where referrals are coming from and brainstorm new ideas to build those relationships further. And of course, we’ll celebrate your wins – every new partnership or lead generated is success worth celebrating!
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):
An Extroverted People-Person: You thrive on social interaction. (In general, extroverts draw their energy from interacting with others and are seen as approachable and enthusiastic – that’s you!) You love meeting new people and can strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.
Networking & Relationship-Building Skills: You have a knack for making connections and nurturing them. Maybe you’ve been called a “natural networker” or “relationship guru” – you enjoy finding common ground and building trust with others.
Excellent Communication: Clear, friendly, and engaging communication style. Whether it’s a quick chat in person, a follow-up email, or a post on social media, you know how to communicate professionally while keeping it warm and personable.
Self-Motivated & Organized: This is a remote role with a lot of autonomy. You should be comfortable managing your own schedule, following up on leads, and staying organized with minimal supervision. (Don’t worry, we’re always here to support you, but we won’t be micromanaging.)
Passion for the Mission: Genuine interest in helping people and enthusiasm for our company’s services. While you don’t need an insurance license or any prior insurance experience, being eager to learn the basics of what we offer will help you speak confidently about our value. We will provide training to get you up to speed.
Local to Greenville (Preferred): Since you’ll be attending in-person events around the Greenville, SC area, we prefer candidates who are local or familiar with the community. You should have the ability to travel to networking events in the region. (Mileage reimbursement or travel stipends can be provided.)
Tech-Savvy: Basic proficiency with email, social media, and maybe tools like LinkedIn is a plus. You’ll use our CRM to log leads and might leverage social networks to connect with partners, so being comfortable with tech will help.
