We are hiring for a Business Intelligence Analyst - Merchandising, who will be responsible for the design, creation and reporting of financial performance analysis for the Merchandising team serving approximately 400 convenience stores located from Maine to Texas. This position will work in the Merchandising department, along with other internal teams and our external brand partners to maximize item sales, basket sales, transactions and profits across our promotions and loyalty platforms. The role requires regularly influencing cross-functional teams, receiving limited direction and exercising independent judgement within the scope of their role. Responsibilities include engaging with Merchandising Team leadership to understand their data needs, ensuring the delivery of tailored analytics solutions; applying strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills with a bias towards data-based decision making; navigating large, complex datasets to derive insights and communicate findings; defining analytical requirements with business units to align data models with business needs; providing timely insights and analytical support to internal stakeholders; managing change requests, prioritization, and communication of milestones for Analytics & Data projects; developing real-time data visualization dashboards using Tableau; standardizing analytical methodologies including statistical tests; coding in SQL to join various data sources and enhance data sets; and monitoring KPIs and performance to measure business decision effectiveness. Qualifications include a 4-year college degree preferred in business, economics or statistics; 3-7 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis; proficiency in Tableau with at least 2 years of experience; strong SQL skills; experience with BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI; knowledge of Python or R is a plus; familiarity or desire to learn modern data stack technologies; expertise in uncovering data insights and providing actionable recommendations; experience with experimental design and A/B testing; proficiency with Microsoft Office; outstanding communication skills; intellectual curiosity and a forward-thinking mindset.
