Job Description

Position Overview: To greet and welcome guests in the Café and serve guests with food and beverage items from the Café menu. Essential Functions:

• Take orders from guests in the Café including Starbucks drinks, coffee, tea, and other beverages and food items.
• Operate point of sale system; take and process payments.
• Prepare specialty coffee drinks including all drinks. Serve items to customers.
• Prepare minor food prep and knowledge of safety and health procedures.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to each guest.
• Take inventory and replenish items as needed.
• Keep workspace and dining area clean and well maintained.
• Must work variable hours, AM and Pm, must be available to work some weekends and holidays
• Answer questions on menu items and interact with guests in a positive and friendly manner.

• Project a neat, clean and professional appearance.
• Be articulate and able to communicate effectively to staff and guests including children, verbally and in writing.
• Be committed to the highest standards of hospitality and express a sincere interest in the needs and comfort of guests.
• Ability to remain calm in a stressful situation.
• Be dependable, flexible and possess an even temperament.
