Seneca Health Services is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center in wild, wonderful West Virginia. We provide responsible, accessible, and progressive behavioral health services. We have a wide range of professionals who are passionate about helping our clients through substance use or mental health treatment. With four outpatient clinics and two intensive treatment locations in Greenbrier, Nicholas, Pocahontas and Webster Counties, we serve a wide population. Our services include Crisis Services, Substance Use Disorder Assistance, Mental Health Services, and Intellectual Disabilities Support.

Youth Crisis Case Managers provide intensive crisis services for individuals who are identified as high risk by school or law enforcement personnel. The goal is to reduce risk of suicide, substance use, or other maladaptive behavior.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field required. West Virginia Social Work License preferred. Experience in behavioral health preferred.

Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.

Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Employment Fitness Determination through WVCARES and a drug screen.

Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work collaboratively with school system to improve health of students:
Reduce risk of suicide attempts by students by providing education and direct crisis intervention services to students.
Reduce risk of dating violence by providing education and direct crisis intervention services to students as applicable.
Reduce the risk of use of alcohol, tobacco, and other illegal drugs by providing education and direct crisis intervention services to students.

2. Work collaboratively with local law enforcement to engage students who have had contact with the legal system either directly or as a result of parent/guardian involvement.

Provide crisis follow up to any student who was involved with the legal system within 48 hours to include assessment of individual and family treatment needs.
Facilitate referral as needed for both the individual and the family.

3. Presentation to students in form of classroom or student clubs.

4. Provide training to school personnel in trauma informed practice.

5. Work with the individual using person centered approach to determine the most appropriate treatment – making referrals to inpatient psychiatric, outpatient behavioral health, or residential programs as appropriate.

6. Ensure service delivery is comprehensive and meets the individuals stated and assessed need.

7. Collaborate with service providers to ensure individual remains engaged in treatment.

8. Represent Seneca in a positive manner including maintaining a positive attitude and performing duties in a manner in accordance with Seneca’s Mission and Code of Conduct and Ethical Practices.

9. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
