Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Manage insurance renewals, claims, and workers' compensation processes.
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filings.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
Analyze settlement processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with the leadership team to align financial goals with organizational strategy.
Monitor and manage cash flow.
Lead audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience as a VP of Finance, Controller, or CFO
In-depth knowledge of insurance processes, including renewals, claims, and workers' compensation
Strong leadership skills, as this role will manage a team of seven
Transportation or trucking industry knowledge
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements
Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Knowledge of advanced financial software and tools
