Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist for our Morris Cancer Center at the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications:

Required:

• BSN
• At least 3 years of oncology nursing experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• Must obtain MSN within two years of hire
• Certification as an Oncology Nurse preferred or within one year of hire

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements :

• Day Shift, 40 hours per week
• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• The Nurse Practice Act of the State of New Jersey defines the scope of the position and adherence to the policies and Standard Operating Procedures set forth by the Morris Cancer Center.
• Functions as a facilitator and innovator for state of the art oncology nursing care with direct involvement in implementing and evaluating new techniques and equipment,

• Functions as a clinical resource, mentor, and teacher to staff,
• Assists in the development, implementation, and utilization of policies, procedures, and regulatory standards,
• Participates in the planning and implementation of strategies to meet regulatory agency requirements as they relate to patient care and operational practices,
• Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple complex priorities,
• Communicates and shares expertise in nursing practice through presentation - nationally, locally, and internally - and publication process,
• Assists oncology staff in the translation of research evidence into clinical practice and promotes oncology evidence-based practice,
