Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90025 *must live near 90025*

Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 3 pm PT

Job Summary:

Our client, a commercial real estate retail and industrial development company, is looking for 3 Construction Laborers to join their team. The Construction Laborer is responsible for performing tenant improvements, such as, repairs, and improvements on building systems, equipment, and facilities. This role covers a variety of trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repairs, to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues (e.g., lighting, outlets, wiring, circuit breakers).
• Conduct plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures.
• Handle painting, patching, and drywall repairs to maintain building appearance.
• Perform carpentry tasks including door, lock, and furniture repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, building codes, and company standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working condition.
• Document work performed and update maintenance logs or work order systems.
• Assist with special projects, renovations, and upgrades as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance or related experience in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
• Must be proficient in both English and Spanish.
• Must have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (climbing, bending, standing).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
