Job Description
We are seeking an Armed Security Officer in our Corporate Office Building in Schenectady, NY. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises and identify risks to staff and patrons.
Positions Available:
Per-diem (As needed basis)
Part-time
Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
Qualifications:
A valid New York State Armed Security Guard License
Strong Attention to Details
Must have good spoken and written English
Must be able to stand/ and or patrol for extended hours
New York State Armed Security Guard License (Required)
8-hour annual Security Officer refresher - current (Required)
16-hour on-the-job training certificate – (Required)
