We are currently looking for a qualified Cost Accountant / Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the cost accountant / analyst will work across various functional teams to gather and analyze company data to support the strategic initiatives of the business. The ideal candidate will be confident, articulate, and able to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively, even in challenging conversations.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform research and gather relevant data for projects
• Analyze sales gross margin data compared to estimates to determine source of variances
• Collect and analyze operational cost data
• Identify cost of operational processes
• Analyze inventory transactions, levels, and replenishment
• Analyze financial data for both domestic and international businesses
• Analyze best purchasing practices and support periodic RFP process
• Evaluate capital expenditures for investment payback
• Coordinate with others in the accounting and finance team on projects
• Collaborate with the IT team on developing analytical tools and reports
• Support the monthly close process
• Support the annual audit process
• Other tasks as assigned by manager

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience analyzing sales data and cost of goods sold
• Previous experience with operation analytics and cost accounting
• Accounting / GAAP knowledge
• Proven analytical and financial reporting skills
• Knowledge of ERP system (Syteline preferred)
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Occasional travel, domestic and international

Pay: $75,000 to $85,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
