Cost Accountant
$90,000 to $110,000

Our client is an industry leader in manufacturing, with a reputation for innovation, quality, and operational excellence. We’re currently looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our dynamic finance team and help drive efficiency and profitability across our manufacturing operations.

Position Summary:
The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in analyzing manufacturing costs and providing valuable insight into operational performance. This position works closely with production, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate costing, inventory valuation, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and maintain standard costs of products and update as needed

• Monitor and report on manufacturing variances and cost drivers

• Prepare and analyze monthly manufacturing and inventory reports

• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

• Support budget and forecast processes with cost-related data

• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and systems

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA a plus)

• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
