From headlines to campaign concepts, you’ll craft copy that connects with audiences, drives engagement, and ensures our brand shows up consistently across every touchpoint. This is hybrid position with expectations to work 2-3 days per week in the corporate office in Carrboro, NC

Responsibilities
Act as a steward of Fleet Feet’s brand voice, ensuring all copy is consistent, authentic, and on-brand.
Write concept-driven copy for multi-channel campaigns, including advertising, ecommerce, email, social media, and in-store signage.
Collaborate with the Creative Director and designers to develop campaign concepts and headlines that work across platforms.
Partner with marketing, retail, digital, and product teams to translate business objectives into clear, persuasive messaging.
Develop high-impact slogans, taglines, calls-to-action, and performance-focused copy tailored to audience segments.
Adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and channels while maintaining brand integrity.
Participate in brainstorms and creative kickoffs, contributing ideas and shaping campaign messaging early.
Uphold Fleet Feet’s copy standards and editorial style guide.
Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining creative excellence.
Review and edit copy for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field—or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional copywriting experience in an agency or brand marketing environment.
Proven ability to write creative, persuasive, and on-brand copy across multiple formats and channels.
Experience developing campaign concepts and performance-driven creative.
Understanding of integrated marketing and adapting messaging across print, digital, and retail.
Strong presentation skills and the ability to sell creative ideas to stakeholders.
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record collaborating with designers and creative teams to build cohesive campaigns.
Passion for storytelling, creativity, and connecting with diverse audiences through the power of running and movement.
