Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent require
  • Capable of moving heavy furniture, working off of step-ladders, and operating custodial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, polishers and mops
  • Experience in cleaning and housekeeping tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Holds a valid driver's license and has reliable transportation to/from work.


Primary Job Function:
To perform custodian cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment conducive to the educational process.

Responsibilities:
  1. Performs housekeeping duties as assigned, including but not limited to: vacuum, sweep and mop floors, dust and clean furniture, empty waste baskets, clean dry-erase and/or chalk boards, wash windows, clean and disinfect restrooms, and other tasks as assigned.
  2. Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, buffers and carpel extractors.
  3. Maintains a clean and organized custodial supplies closet and custodial cart, requesting supplies in advance of running out
  4. Follows verbal and w1itten instructions from Supervisor.
  5. Follows written label instructions for the proper measuring, mixing and the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  6. Opens and secures assigned areas
  7. Reports building or equipment repair needs to Supervisor.
  8. Plans own work to assure that all assigned tasks are completed at an acceptable level of quality within the allotted time.
