Lingo Staffing is looking to hire multiple on-call driver helpers for a liquor distribution company located in North Haven, CT!!
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver Helpers to join our liquor distribution team. This entry-level role- The Driver Helper will assist delivery drivers with the safe, efficient, and accurate delivery of products to customers, while providing excellent service and maintaining company standards.
Hours: always 6am OR 7am start until finish (schedule varies day to day based on route assignments)
**this is a long-term temp position; company will not be converting anyone to permanent placement**
Pay: $17/hour
The responsibilities of the Driver Helper are:
-Assist delivery drivers in loading/unloading cases and kegs of alcoholic beverages at customer locations.
-Ensure all products are handled with care and delivered accurately based on invoices.
-Provide courteous and professional customer service at each delivery stop.
-Help maintain accurate delivery records and obtain required signatures or proof of delivery.
-Assist in organizing and rotating stock as needed at customer sites.
-Follow all safety and alcohol handling regulations.
-Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles and equipment.
-Support the driver with navigation, route planning, and product placement.
The requirements of the Driver Helper are:
-Ability to be on-call day to day for next day's shift (Monday-Friday) - MUST
-Flexibility to work long hours - MUST
-Understand you may not work every day meaning you may not hit a 40-hour work week - MUST
-Must be 18 years or older
-Ability to lift and move cases and kegs weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
-Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
-Good communication and teamwork skills
-Must pass background check
-Must be able to work a hand truck
-Prior warehouse, delivery, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
