Foresight Global Investors is a Westchester-based Boutique Asset Manager specializing in Global Equities. Foresight was founded in 2015 and has demonstrated an ability to generate alpha in both of its core strategies, Global and International Value. The firm manages its strategies with a long-term value philosophy with low portfolio turnover compared to industry peers. The portfolio is concentrated (40-50 stocks) and tilted towards highest conviction opportunities. Portfolio construction is guided by the firm's proprietary risk management tools. Foresight currently manages over $900 million on behalf of its institutional and high net worth clients. The majority of assets are in the firm's International Strategy which focuses on Developed Markets ex-US.
Position Overview
Foresight has rapidly grown its asset base over the past five years. The firm is looking to add one or two junior investment professionals to join our investment team.
We are looking for individuals who view themselves as investors, not traders looking for the next hot idea. Patience, process and discipline are of extreme importance. Our portfolios are concentrated in competitively advantaged businesses and we strive to add a few new positions per year. To be successful in this role, the individual should be able to handle work assigned from above, while also able to proactively source their own ideas. This position is well suited for a generalist, not someone who is, or is looking to become, an industry specialist.
Skills
Proficient in building full financial models in Excel and ability to utilize PowerPoint.
Ability to code in Python and manipulate large data sets for empirical research highly valued.
Experience utilizing LLMs and prompt engineering is a plus.
Display a passion for the financial markets and the public equity investment process.
Knowledge of accounting, business strategy and competitive positioning.
Display an intellectual curiosity to broaden one's knowledge base, particularly outside the constraints of one's home market (the US).
Have demonstrable experience of researching and summarizing content.
