Job Description

I am thrilled to announce that Kimberly Cizek Allen has accepted the permanent role of Executive Director of the Olympic College Foundation. Kimberly has served as Interim Executive Director since September 2024 and, in that time, has demonstrated the commitment to student access, achievement and success needed to revamp the OC Foundation. Kim joined the OC Foundation in March 2024 as Director of Fund Development during a time of significant transition, as the Foundation Board of Directors worked to reorganize the staffing structure. Since stepping into the interim role, Kim quickly assimilated into the position while managing the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. This included hiring two new staff members, transitioning the Foundation’s donor database, navigating competing philanthropic priorities, beginning an endowed fund audit with major gift work, and fielding inquiries from OC staff, potential donors, and community members. Kim has developed essential policies and procedures and has worked with OC partners to streamline funding pathways between OCF and OC. It has become apparent that Kim has the skills, personality and tenacity necessary to lead this vital organization, which is why I am genuinely excited about the future of the Olympic College Foundation. Now, with organization leadership firmly in place, Kim and her team will turn their attention to hiring the fourth team member to be fully staffed, continuing to rebuild the systems and structures for effective philanthropy, and undergoing a capacity study to evaluate campaign readiness. A few interesting notes about Kim: Before joining Olympic College, she worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 10 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield College and was a 2004 Running Start graduate from Olympic College! She not only knows and embraces our mission, but—like many of our employees—also understands what it’s like to be an OC student, because she was one herself. After a career change, Kim was the Director of Development at Kitsap Humane Society and Interim Executive Director at Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center. Please join me in congratulating Kim in her new role! Marty Cavalluzzi President Olympic College #J-18808-Ljbffr Olympic College Foundation
