Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage plant laboratory operations, including supplies and equipment.
• Oversee third-party sanitation companies.
• Ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to the Food Safety Modernization Act.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality and process optimization.
• Lead coaching, education, and training for management and plant employees in Quality Assurance.
• Develop and maintain HACCP, FDA, and USDA programs.
• Ensure compliance with SQF/BRC audit requirements.
• Supervise chemical, bacteriological, sensory, and utilization tests on raw materials and finished goods.
• Collaborate cross-functionally as a change agent.

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• 5 years of QA experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of USDA and FDA.
• Knowledge of the Food Safety Modernization Act.
• SQF Practitioner and/or GFSI certified.
• Process Control Qualified Individual.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Working knowledge of sanitation systems and clean-in-place techniques.
