Job Description: Waynesburg University Department of Athletics is seeking a graduate student, in the area of Esports, to assist with the recruitment and esports program development. Position entails working 19 hours per week. The graduate assistant will report to the Director of Athletics. Duties and responsibilities will include:

Duties include:

Assist the Director of Esports/Head Coach with the growth and implementation of the Esports Program

Assist in the organization of practice sessions, onsite competitions, coordination of Esports events, etc.

Game specific or event coach, as needed

Work in accordance with all staff members of the Athletics Department, Admissions Office and Waynesburg University

Represent Waynesburg University in a positive manner

Recruit qualified student-athletes to participate in the Esports program, as directed

Conduct recruiting calls and mailings

Assist in the preparation of the Esports Arena for competitions, events, and practices

Assist administration/staff in monitoring student-athletes academic progress

Possess the ability to communicate the mission of the University and the goals of the Athletic Department to student-athletes

Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the University

Comply with all rules affiliated with Waynesburg University and the NCAA, should the NCAA introduce Esports as an emerging sport

Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Job Qualifications: All interested candidates will need to successfully enroll in a graduate program at Waynesburg University in order to be eligible for the assistantship. Candidates must possess strong organizational, communication and computer skills, familiarity with a variety of software such as: Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, Adobe Professional, Front Rush, Slate, etc; the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines; and availability to work evenings, Sundays and occasional weekends.
