Job Description

Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a world-class organization to hire an "Industrial Engineer" near Forest city, IA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and support daily warehouse operations, including:
• Receiving and checking in finished goods
• Order picking and inventory flow
• Understanding site logistics and material flow
• Support and back up current site engineers in operational tasks
• Lead or co-lead continuous improvement projects focused on process efficiency and safety
• Support the transition from JDA to SAP EWM by identifying and implementing process improvements
• Identify opportunities for process redesign , safety enhancement, and system alignment
• Apply lean and Six Sigma methodologies to warehouse operations where appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field required
• Logistics or supply chain experience preferred
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
• Experience with process redesign and safety improvement projects is required
• Candidates with mechanical engineering backgrounds will be considered
• Candidates with chemical engineering backgrounds may be considered if they’ve pivoted into process design roles

Additional Information:

Duration: 12 months

Pay range: $30-$33/hr. on W2

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
