Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records by preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports to support management in strategic planning.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Assist with internal audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Generate detailed financial reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Support tax filing processes by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting systems.
- Stay updated on financial and accounting best practices, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles; internships or entry-level experience in financial analysis is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills to present financial findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with ERP systems and integration.
- Progress toward a CPA or other professional certification is a plus.
