We are helping our client with the following requisition. This is a 6 month contract with the possibility to extend. The client is based in Atlanta and on-site, in-office presence is required.
We are hiring a hands-on Lead React Native Engineer to architect and drive the development of complex, scalable mobile solutions across iOS and Android. This role requires strong technical leadership, excellent architectural insight, and the ability to make rapid yet high-quality technical decisions. You will be expected to set engineering standards, mentor developers, and lead by example with robust coding practices.
Key Responsibilities :
• Lead architecture and development of React Native mobile applications.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, patterns, and scalable designs.
• Guide and mentor a team of React Native developers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align mobile strategy with product goals.
• Review code, improve performance, and proactively address technical debt.
• Interface with native teams (iOS/Android) when deeper native capabilities are required.
• Ensure stability, performance, and security across the mobile codebase.
• Take ownership of release processes, crash monitoring, and app analytics.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 8–10 years of software development experience, with 5+ years building apps in React Native.
• Demonstrated ability to architect and scale cross-platform mobile apps.
• Deep understanding of React Native ecosystem, native bridges, and performance optimization.
• Strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript, and mobile lifecycle management.
• Experience managing app releases and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring developers.
• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices, accessibility, and offline-first designs.
Nice to Have :
• Past experience migrating native apps to React Native or building greenfield apps.
• Contributions to open-source React Native libraries.
• Familiarity with monorepo setups using Nx or TurboRepo
