Summary Kairos Academies is seeking a hardworking, culture‑building, student‑focused, data‑driven teacher to deliver exceptional music instruction for Middle School and High School students. At Kairos, all teachers are leaders—you’ll not only teach your content area but also take on whole‑school service roles that shape our culture, strengthen student development, and deepen connections with families and the broader community. Key Responsibilities Develop rigorous units in music instruction for middle school and high school students Differentiate for diverse learners, including EL and neurodiverse students. Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor growth. Cultivate an ensemble ethos where respect, risk‑taking, and accountability flourish. Serve on committees and mentor students in leadership roles. Communicate student progress and performance opportunities to families. Participate in PLCs, attend conferences, and share best practices. Qualifications Degree: Bachelors required; Master’s preferred Certification: Valid Missouri Music teaching certification (or willingness to certify ASAP) Substitute certification required Experience: 3+ years of high school teaching preferred Skills: Strong content mastery in Music; proven ability to use data to drive instruction Other: Eligible to work in for any employer in the U.S. and pass annual criminal background check Technology & Safety Proficiency with Microsoft Office, student information systems, and digital platforms Skillful use of digital curriculum resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Know, teach, and reinforce our safety policies and procedures. Proactively recognize and report unsafe actions or environments. Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies to maintain a safe school climate. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary for certified teachers starts at: $60,000 Health, dental, and vision Insurance Professional development & certification reimbursement School Tuition Reimbursement Schedule Monday–Friday, 7:40 AM–3:30 PM (occasional evenings/weekends) Work Environment Active, dynamic classroom and school environment with varying noise levels and frequent interactions. This is not a remote position—all Kairos teachers deliver instruction in-person and onsite at our St. Louis campus.
