About the Role

We are hiring a Mine Engineer - Drill & Blast Optimization to pioneer Mariana's software-first approach to mine operations. In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement drill & blast optimization systems that span sensors to ML-driven control.
• Build out an ecosystem of technology partners , identifying and bringing critical capabilities in-house.
• Surface operational insights in ways that support smarter, faster decision-making.
• Engineer out non-value-added work and design scalable, automated workflows.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of engineering, software, and operations . You'll work across Mariana's process, product, and data teams to prioritize the initiatives that deliver the most value.

Candidate Profile

Must Haves

• 8+ years open pit mining experience with a strong track record in drill & blast optimization.
• Strong first principles problem solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with in-house drill & blast optimization projects .

Nice to Haves

• Underground mining experience.
• Track record of collaborating with machine learning engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers .

This role will require significant amount of travel to project sites
