Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Hospitalist to join our inpatient team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established, collaborative hospitalist program at a respected community hospital with access to comprehensive specialty services.

Position Details

• Full-time night shift position
• 7 on / 7 off schedule: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
• Responsible for admissions from the Emergency Department, specialist consults, and transfers from other local Prime hospitals
• Participate in Rapid Response Team (RRT) and Code Blue activations (average of 2 per night)
• Cross-cover hospitalist patients (approximately 5458 patients on the service)
• Average of 8 patient admissions per night (may vary depending on call status)
• No procedures required in-house anesthesiologist available for intubations
• Access to eICU physician support
• Comprehensive Stroke Center and referral site for high-risk PCI and cardiothoracic surgery within the Prime Healthcare network

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Current Illinois medical license (MD or DO) or in process
• Unrestricted current DEA registration
• ACLS certification required
• Clean background and professional references
• Strong team player with excellent communication and patient care skills
• No procedural skills required

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $300,000.00 to $345,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
