Job Summary and Qualifications

• Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations, the Nurse Manager of Transplant Services is responsible for the operations at the unit, coordinates the departmental function and plan for the delivery of patient care while containing costs, and maintains working conditions.
• The Nurse Manager will ensure adherence to the hospital and departmental business/strategic plans and to nursing procedures, standards and practices at all times.
• You will act as a resource and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for the purpose of optimizing patient care and resource usage.
• You will recognize the population specific needs of the critical care patient and apply the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviors to meet those needs when performing patient care activities.
• Your functions in this role will be performed in accordance with the standards, practice acts, and licensure in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an accredited professional School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s of Nursing Science (BSN) required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ​Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State if you declare the Compact State your Primary State of Residence.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• National Certification in area of expertise preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years in a Progressive Care Unit required.
