Looking for Oracle Database administrator role who will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and security of Oracle database systems.
They also handle backup and recovery procedures, troubleshoot issues, and work with developers on database design and implementation
Years of experience needed
Experience: - 9 to 12 Years of experience in Oracle Database administrator.
Technical Skills:
The Responsibilities
The overall management, maintenance, and security of Oracle database systems and RAC environment.
Installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching the software, as well as ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
Ensuring the data security /integrity measures configurations
Ensuring the data replication for business continuity.
Work as a Shift support - 24 X 7
Coordinate with internal and external customer to resolve the issues.
Optimization of Stakeholder Queries.
Experience Requirements:
Hands-on experience on Oracle RAC environment.
Creating and configuration of databases in RAC environment.
Monitoring database performance using OCI Monitoring, Performance Hub, and AWR reports.
Database access management
Applying routine patches and updates (for DB Systems).
Vulnerability management for database
Managing tablespaces, datafiles, and storage utilization.
Reviewing logs, trace files, and system-generated s.
Managing database jobs and scheduler tasks.
Monitoring and validating backup jobs (RMAN for DB Systems, automatic for ADB).
Performing manual backups and restores.
Managing lifecycle operations (start/stop) for DB Systems and ADB.
Reviewing and responding to health notifications and incidents.
Managing archive log space and retention policies.
Scaling CPU/storage for ADB (if auto-scaling is not enabled).
Reviewing SQL Monitor and SQL Plan reports for performance insights.
Performing root cause analysis (RCA) for critical or recurring issues.
Managing and tuning RMAN backup strategies and recovery scenarios.
Automating maintenance and operational tasks using OCI CLI, SDKs, or Terraform.
Coordinating with Oracle Support for SRs and escalations.
Restoration Database from the backup / logs
Managing cross-region replication and disaster recovery for ADB.
Managing compliance and governance policies for data access and retention
Certifications Needed:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) would be an added advantage
