Job Description

Job Description

As a Performance Management Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating, auditing, and optimizing the performance of Groundfloor’s lending operations, with a focus in securitization compliance and readiness. You’ll work cross-functionally with the finance, underwriting, lending, and asset management teams to deliver operational insights, ensure audit and compliance readiness, maintain data accuracy, and support strategic decision-making. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys investigative work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is excited about owning cross-functional performance reporting and audit-related functions. This role will be broad in scope and will involve a high level of collaboration across all functional areas of the lending business. This role also offers the unique opportunity to join a small team of people who genuinely enjoy what they do, respect and value each other, and are always trying to do better, both for themselves and for the Company.

This job might be for you if:

  • You love digging into data to uncover patterns, risks, or inconsistencies.
  • You’ve got a natural curiosity and a drive to understand how systems and processes work, and how they can be better.
  • You get excited about being the go-to person for audits, data accuracy, and performance insights. You enjoy working cross-functionally and influencing teams without direct authority.
  • You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • You want to be part of a mission-driven company and a team that values humility, accountability, and continuous improvement.

A day in the life:
Internal Control/Audit and System Oversight:

  • Conduct regular audits of underwriting and origination activity, ensuring compliance with internal policies
  • Perform variance and exception analysis to detect trends, risks, and outliers
  • Perform cross-system data integrity checks between platforms used in the origination and asset management of our portfolio
  • Identify, design, and implement financial and operational processes to enhance transparency, accuracy, and control within reporting systems

Bond Securitization Support:

  • Participate in process development and implementation to streamline and formalize the bond securitization workflow
  • Support data preparation and validation efforts for bond securitization initiatives
  • Assist in tracking, reconciling, and auditing loan-level data for inclusion in securitized offerings
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity with third-party stakeholders (e.g., third party reviewers, custodians)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of loan performance data

Requirements

Your experience + a few nice to haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, internal audit, FP&A, or performance analytics
  • Strong analytical and investigative mindset; exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau) and workflow tools (e.g., Airtable, Hubspot) is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across departments
