Principal Test Engineer

An on-site individual who can:

Take ownership for and develop diagnostic and test capabilities for production, field and system power-up self-test
Work with and train CM personnel to perform diagnostic tests, generate summary test reports, and archive results in a production test database
Work with CM and engineering to resolve production and field failures and drive changes needed to resolve issues as they arise
Work with the design team to design, build, test, document and release electromechanical test fixtures
Program test software in Python, write scripts and applications on Linux platforms
Write formal test protocols
Conduct tests of electronic equipment according to written protocols and write formal test reports
Analyze and present numerical results using software tools such as Matlab to other engineers
Troubleshoot issues with electromechanical apparatus by independently reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

Qualifications:

BS electrical engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering. MS preferred.
10+ years commercial experience as a test engineer of medical device capital equipment. 3+ years as a technical lead in test engineering
Experience with standard electronics lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
Strong programming experience in python with additional experience in languages such as C, C++, JavaScript, or similar
Experience using Matlab independently to analyze data and present results
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Self-motivated. Works well both independently and in a diverse team.
