Lago Vista Animal Clinic has a new opportunity for an animal lover to join our team as a
Professional Groomer . We offer luxury boarding and grooming services to the Lago Vista area and are searching for a staff member who loves working with dogs and has prior grooming experience.
This is a full-time role comprised of 10-hour shifts. We are seeking a groomer to work Monday-Thursday.
To be considered for this role,
candidates must have prior grooming experience with a variety of dog breeds and sizes. You are responsible for all grooming services, including: - Bathing, drying, grooming/hair cutting as requested by client, styling, brush out, flea treatments, clipping/filing nails, gland expression, de-matting, ear hair removal, brushing teeth, and cleaning up
- Keeping your area clean throughout the day and at the end of the shift
- Engaging with customers to ensure their requests are understood
- Evaluating the condition of the pet and addressing any styling/grooming concerns
- Must have prior knowledge and comfort with working with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Must have prior knowledge of breed grooming standards
- Certificate in grooming is a plus

Lago Vista Animal Clinic is a 4-doctor, AAHA-Accredited hospital with a longstanding history in our community and great team longevity (some team members have been here 30+ years!) We primarily see small animals and are well equipped to handle routine procedures, surgery, dentistry, grooming, and more. We're a paperless clinic and have a large, 5400 sq ft facility complete with 2 surgery rooms, a dedicated digital x-ray room, separate surgery and dental suites, 4 exam rooms, a large treatment area, and an entire 2nd floor upstairs for our staff.
