Type: Contract to hire

Project Manager Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that drive operational readiness and support new product implementations across Group, Consumer, and Medicare lines of business. This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented professional who can plan, organize, and execute complex projects in alignment with the business goals of Service Operations and key functional areas throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage end-to-end projects that support operational readiness and business objectives across Service Operations and related departments.
  • Lead and coordinate activities across functional areas including Medicare Product Management, Regulatory Compliance, Pharmacy Services, Underwriting, Sales, and Service Operations.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables; track progress and report updates weekly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings with vendors and internal teamsdeveloping clear agendas, managing discussions, capturing minutes, and distributing action items promptly.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and barriers to success; develop and implement mitigation and action plans to keep initiatives on track.
  • Analyze performance and outcomes to identify key gaps, establish improvement plans, and ensure integration of activities into centralized reporting processes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Prepare clear, professional project documentation, presentations, and progress reports to support executive decision-making.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a health insurance organization, with demonstrated success in project management or operations.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects from planning to implementation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and project management software.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
