The ideal candidate will ensure smooth and timely delivery of high-quality releases that enhance our digital shopping experience while minimizing risks and downtime. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership. Responsibilities: Oversee release deployment to production and pre-production environments, ensuring proper testing and validation. Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, product management, and business stakeholders to ensure readiness for releases. Manage tools and systems used for release management, deployment automation, and version control. Develop CI/CD scripts, pipelines, and QA automation. Ensure all releases comply with Azure cloud standards, best practices, and security requirements. Coordinate with IT and DevOps teams to maintain reliable deployment environments. Communicate release details and schedules to all relevant teams and stakeholders. Manage rollback plans and contingencies to address potential deployment issues. Be available for and participate in off-hours and emergency production support requests. Monitor the site for uptime and help resolve issues. Other duties as directed by management. Requirements: B.S. in Computer Science or a similar field or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in release management, preferably in eCommerce or a similar high-paced digital environment in Azure cloud environments. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including networking, storage, and security. Experience with Git to merge code, manage branches, clean history, resolve conflicts. Understanding of building and deploying PHP-based and .NET applications. Experience working in Linux environments. Strong preference for ecommerce developer background and skillset.
