As a Security Officer - Armed Government Institution - Full Time in Vanceboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in supporting a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned premises, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This position requires both armed duties and driving responsibilities, so you will be expected to carry out your patrols both on foot and by vehicle. You will interact with staff, visitors, and stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible security-related presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Interact with visitors, staff, and/or contractors in a courteous manner while maintaining security-related standards.
• Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during incidents at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
