As a Security Professional - School Site - Unarmed Patrol in Baltimore, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a positive atmosphere, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication supports the community. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to individuals on the premises by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with conflict resolution and reporting as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports, maintaining clear and accurate records as required by site protocols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and providing directions or information to campus visitors as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with campus staff and local authorities during emergencies or special events, following established protocols and communication procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
