Senior Quality Engineer

Senior Quality Engineer

Salary: $110k - $140k base, Benefits, PTO, 401K

Requirements: GD&T experience within Aerospace/Defense. Nadcap preferred. 

Position Overview
For nearly 100 years, we have been manufacturing high-precision and geometrically complex parts in the Aerospace industry. Due to growth we are actively hiring Senior and Mid-level Quality Engineers. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards.
• Conduct quality audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Analyze data from inspections and tests to identify trends and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Work with engineering and production teams to design and improve processes that enhance product quality.
• Lead and mentor junior quality engineers and quality technicians in best practices and quality methodologies.
• Utilize GD&T and metrology techniques to ensure accurate product specifications and tolerances.
• Oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) processes to ensure product integrity and compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industries.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, AS9012, AS9100, ISO 9001, and related quality standards.
• Experience with APQP, PAPP, CMM, RCCM, and NADCAP requirements.
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods and metallurgical inspection processes.
• Proficient in using quality tools and methodologies, including statistical process control and root cause analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
