Sourcing Manager / Director Womens Apparel

Location: Apex, NC (On-site)

Our client is a fast-growing, women-owned lifestyle and apparel company known for inspiring product design, bold seasonal collections, and meaningful gifts. With a nationwide customer base of over 4,000 boutiques, this company blends thoughtful artistry with quality craftsmanship to create products that uplift and connect.

As the company continues expanding, they are seeking an experienced Sourcing professional to join their on-site team in Apex, NC. This role can be filled at either Manager or Director level, depending on experience. It is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment where sourcing, production, and product development intersect to bring seasonal collections to life.

What Youll Do

• Sourcing & Vendor Management
• Manage day-to-day communications with vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Oversee sourcing, production, and delivery timelines to ensure seasonal collections launch on schedule.
• Negotiate costs, terms, and production capacity with factories and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with quality, social responsibility, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies for womens apparel.
• Negotiate complex vendor agreements and maintain strong global partnerships.
• Partner with leadership across design, merchandising, and operations to align sourcing strategy with business goals.

Product Development Support

• Collaborate with design, merchandising, and product teams to align sourcing with creative vision.
• Support seasonal product development from concept to final delivery.
• Review samples, tech packs, and production documents to ensure factory readiness.
• Collaboration & Innovation
• Work cross-functionally to support seasonal collections and product launches.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What Were Looking For

Sourcing Manager Level:

• 5+ years of sourcing, production, or vendor management experience in womens apparel.
• Strong negotiation, project management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Sourcing Director Level:

• 10+ years of sourcing or production experience in womens apparel, with proven leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of sourcing, production processes, and vendor management.
• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and team leadership skills.

Both Levels:

• Ability to work on-site in Apex, NC.
• Familiarity with product development cycles, sample review, and tech packs.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple seasonal deadlines.
• Ability to travel overseas multiple times a year
