Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Sr. Production Planner at their Orlando FL facility.
This manufacturer offers application tooling to the aircraft and aerospace industries - lots of work with Defense Contractors. Compensation: $100-120k
What You Will Do:
Lead production planning and scheduling operations across multiple product lines in a high sales-mix environment. Will be responsible for aligning long-term production plans with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and capacity constraints.
This role plays a key part in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring that supply chain, manufacturing, and sales teams are aligned. This role requires strong understanding of multilevel BOMs, and possesses analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to align production with customer demands and company goals.
- Develop and maintain a master production schedule that aligns with customer demand, inventory targets, and capacity constraints within 8(+) distinct machine resource groups
- Translate sales forecasts and customer orders into detailed manufacturing plans across multiple departments
- Implement and model feedback from sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure integrated planning of existing and new business onboardings
- Monitor production performance and adjust plans proactively to address demand changes, supply disruptions, or capacity issues
- Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure material availability and optimized inventory levels
- Analyze and improve planning processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support on-time delivery
- Provide scenario planning and risk assessments for potential supply chain issues or changes in market demand
- Generate planning and performance reports, including capacity utilization, forecast accuracy, and on-time delivery metrics
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data in planning systems
Education and Work Experience:
- At least 4 years of US Military experience required
- 5+ years experience as a Production Planner or similar role in manufacturing or logistics required (must have strong understanding of production planning principles , supply chain concepts , and inventory management )
- 2+ years experience in a master planning or leadership role required
- Experience in ERP systems (i.e. Infor Suite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) required
