Travel Dialysis RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 4x10hr shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, call required (2 days per week and every 4th weekend).

Job Description

The Dialysis Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to dialysis patients by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute hemodialysis treatments to patients.


• Administer medications, including drips, as required.


• Perform 1 to 1 treatments in the ICU setting.


• Maintain patient safety and effectively address changes in patient conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ year recent travel experience required.


• 1-2+ years dialysis experience required.


• BLS certification required.


• Experience with ALD patient care.


• Cerner experience preferred.
