Job Description:
As an L&D RN , you’ll care for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process. You’ll support families during life-changing moments while managing high-risk situations with skill and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs throughout labor and delivery
\n
• Assist physicians and midwives during childbirth
\n
• Administer medications and IVs, including epidurals and Pitocin
\n
• Educate and support patients and families on birth plans and newborn care
\n
• Manage emergencies such as preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
\n
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and fetal monitoring certification preferred
\n
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D nursing experience
\n
• Strong knowledge of obstetric protocols and fetal monitoring interpretation
\n
• Calm, confident decision-making in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
\n
