Department: Athletic Supervisor: Athletic Director &Assistant Principal-Student Life Location: Onsite - JuníperoSerra High School, San Mateo, CA FLSA Status: Part-Time Compensation: $17.95 per hour plus $7221.00 stipend for 2025-2026 School Year Junípero Serra High School is a Catholic college preparatory for boys. Essential Duties and Accountabilities: Supports the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques for the program Maintains a knowledge of all sport, school, league, section and state rules and by-laws Foster training in conduct, ethics and sportsmanship for all athletes and coaches Supervision of the athletes before, during and after workouts Shall continually update professional expertise in the appropriate area by attendingclinics, joining professional organizations, reading professional literature orany otheracceptable means Work with the Athletic Director to solve problems at the lowest level while supporting theideas of the program/parent/coaches concerning procedures Shall perform such necessary details in this position which are not specifically stated, butwhich are considered by competent authorities to be generally associated with the coaching position Desired Experience, Competencies and Education: Demonstrates three-years of successful experience as a high school coach or equivalentexperience as player or club coach Demonstrates knowledge of the fundamental skills and techniques, as well as theadvanced techniques in the sport of soccer Demonstrates successful personality and character traits appropriate to Catholiceducational leadership Demonstrates successful ability to teach, enforce, advocate and model appropriatebehavior, character traits, Christian and educational values to student-athletes Demonstrates successful ability to teach, organize and supervise student-athletes Demonstrates successful management and organizational skills Demonstrates successful ability to work with parent groups, administrators, staff andstudents Current CPR/First Aid, NFHS or ASEP certification All interested candidates are asked to submit the following documents to the Human Resources Director at Serra High School.
