About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Food Safety & Quality Assurance to lead the strategic development and management of food safety and quality assurance programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's products meet all regulatory requirements and industry standards while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety. This role requires a leader with extensive experience in food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance within the food industry, particularly with a focus on USDA regulations. The VP will be tasked with developing and implementing long-term strategic plans for the food safety and quality assurance program, leading a team, and fostering a culture of food safety and quality throughout the organization. Collaboration with various departments, including manufacturing, R&D, engineering, procurement, and commercialization, is essential to integrate food safety and quality standards into all aspects of the business. Candidates for the VP, Food Safety & Quality Assurance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 15 years of experience. A background in a CoMan/third-party model and experience with regulatory audits, USDA, and SQF is required. The role demands outstanding communication, relationship management, and leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing product recalls and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, a natural problem solver, and a proactive cross-functional communicator, with a passion for health, fitness, and nutrition.
