Peachtree Spine and Sports Physicians (PSP) is a group of Physiatrists with 9 locations in the metropolitan Atlanta area. As an independent practice, our specialized physicians focus on diagnosing and treating back pain, neck pain, and musculoskeletal issues using advanced methods without the need for surgery. PSP currently offers physical therapy at all locations, has several X-ray and MRI machines for accurate diagnosis, and leverages ultrasound/fluoroscopic technology to perform procedures.
Job Description
Seeking an attentive and personable team-player to join our outpatient sports medicine practice as an X-ray Technologist. The primary location for this position is our Norcross office although we will may also need coverage at neighboring clinics. This position is Monday-Friday and the hours are roughly 8-5. The technologist will be using a new, floor-mount Konica system.
The ideal candidate is willing to assist during downtime with other office roles including patient care coordination and/or medical assisting.
Must be able to fulfill the following duties:
· Operate Xray scanners, following all safety guidelines, for all procedures.
· Select appropriate imaging techniques and positioning to produce required images.
· Conduct screening interviews of patients to identify contraindications, such as pregnancy.
· Explain Xray procedures to patients, patient representatives, or family members.
· Troubleshoot technical issues related to the Xray scanner or peripheral equipment, such as monitors or detectors.
· Test Xray equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance in accordance with specifications.
· Provides images, reports, and communication with the radiologist and attending Physician.
· Attend to the general cleanliness and stocking of inventory in the Xray suite.
· Uploading Xray reports to EMR and PACs.
· Updates supply list for inventory needs
· Assist with various administrative and clinical duties as needed, including check in/out, and call center
