About the Role
We’re seeking a creative, insightful English writer who can craft stories that bridge health, humanity, and culture.
Responsibilities
• Based on editorial lead create and write feature articles, interviews, and narrative essays focused on health, culture, and lifestyle.
• Collaborate with editors, translators, and designers to align tone and visuals.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for upcoming themes and community features.
• Conduct short interviews (virtual or in-person) with local professionals, artists, and healthcare voices.
• Deliver polished drafts under clear deadlines.
Qualifications
• Strong command of written English; Spanish proficiency a plus.
• Proven experience in journalism, creative writing, or editorial work (portfolio required).
• Passion for storytelling that humanizes science, culture, and lived experience.
• Excellent attention to tone, accuracy, and flow.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Preferred but not required:
• Background or interest in public health, psychology, or social impact writing.
• Experience preparing content for bilingual or multicultural audiences.
Compensation: Competitive per-article or monthly retainer, based on experience and deliverables.
