We’re looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic dermatology practice with multiple offices in Indianapolis. Key responsibilities may include: Patient intake: Greeting patients, and taking medical histories. Exam room preparation: Setting up exam rooms with necessary supplies and ensuring proper sanitation. Assisting with procedures: Helping the dermatologist during skin exams, biopsies, mole removals, lesion excisions, and cosmetic procedures like Botox injections and chemical peels. Specimen collection: Preparing and labeling skin samples for laboratory analysis. Patient education: Informing patients about skin conditions, treatment options, post-procedure care instructions, and sun protection practices. Scribing and Documentation: Accurately recording patient details, medical histories, examination findings, and treatment plans in electronic medical records. Scheduling appointments: Managing patient schedules and coordinating follow-up appointments. Inventory management: Maintaining medical supplies and ordering necessary medications and equipment.
