The Role + Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Analyst to join the Finance Analytics team at J.Crew Group, supporting our brands: J.Crew, J.Crew Factory, and Madewell. This hybrid role blends strategic financial planning with advanced analytics, offering a unique opportunity to shape data-driven decisions across marketing, store operations, ecommerce, and corporate functions. Ideal candidates thrive at the intersection of finance, strategy, and data—translating complex datasets into insights that streamline operations, enhance forecasting accuracy, and unlock business growth. Deliver strategic insights by translating complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that support key decisions across business functions. Lead the integration of advanced analytics and AI into financial planning processes to improve decision-making, forecasting accuracy, and performance tracking. Build and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and performance dashboards aligned with evolving business trends, cost drivers, and strategic objectives. Develop predictive models, scenario planning tools, and pro forma analyses to evaluate initiatives, investments, and operational changes. Design and maintain comprehensive KPI dashboards that monitor business performance and financial health. Partner with cross-functional teams—Marketing, Planning, Merchandising, Real Estate, Store Ops—to align analytical approaches with business priorities. Develop and present compelling, data-backed narratives to stakeholders, including senior leadership, to inform strategic planning and track progress toward KPIs. Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting automation, and analytical tools to enhance team efficiency and insight delivery. Foster collaboration across finance, business intelligence, and IT to improve data flows, system integration, and insight-sharing. Stay current on industry, data, and technology trends to identify new methods of delivering business value through innovation. Qualifications: ~ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field ~3+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Strategic Finance, Corporate Strategy, or a related analytics role ~ Proficiency in SQL (advanced preferred) and Excel modeling; additional experience with visualization tools like PowerBI is a plus ~ Strong communication skills with the ability to distill and translate large, complex datasets into strategic insights for both technical and executive audiences ~ Highly organized and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment ~ Demonstrated ability to build business partnerships and influence decisions through analytics ~ Self-starter with strong critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills ~ Innovation mindset with a forward-thinking approach to using data and technology ~ Experience driving change management or leading process and system transformation initiatives ~ Strong understanding of P&L statements, cash flow dynamics, and core financial principles to support business case development and financial performance analysis We welcome you to apply, even if you don't check all the boxes.
