Overview

Millburn & Company (M&C), headquartered in Salt Lake City, is a privately held real estate investment firm focused on the multifamily sector. M&C is seeking a highly detail-oriented Real Estate Analyst to join its team in Salt Lake City or Charleston, SC.

This position will help support both the existing portfolio (~12,000 units) as well as new acquisitions and will work closely with the Acquisition and Asset Management Teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence and underwriting for prospective multifamily investments
• Prepare financial modeling to support and guide both Acquisition and Asset Management decisions
• Provide support for the acquisition, financing, asset management, and disposition processes
• Analyze and monitor the financial performance of properties including financial modeling, benchmarking to budget, and collaborating with management in executing business plans
• Conduct property, market, and industry analysis
• Assist in the preparation of presentation material (both for internal and external uses) for Investment Offerings and Investor Reporting
• Interface with brokers, investors, and M&Cs leadership team

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required with preference to Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other Business-related degrees. Advanced degree (MRED, MBA, CPA, etc) or CFA Candidate preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in a finance, analytical, or investment capacity in multifamily real estate
• Experience in real estate modeling (including DCF analysis) and market analysis
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail as well as quality of deliverables
• Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to find solutions without specific step-by-step instructions
• Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize/work on multiple projects simultaneously while delivering results in a timely manner
• Self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this position
• Must be highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe. Experience in Adobe InDesign is a plus
• This position requires ability to travel overnight (less than 25% of the time)
