Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position located in Somerville, TN, serving middle school students. The role involves managing a caseload that includes one elementary resource room/self-contained setting and one inclusion classroom at the middle school level. This contract position will last for the current school year (CSY).
Responsibilities include delivering direct instruction tailored to students' individualized education programs (IEPs), planning lessons that meet diverse learning needs, conducting academic testing and evaluations, and maintaining thorough documentation to support student progress and compliance. The role also involves providing indirect services to support students' overall educational experience.
